We are presently recruiting for a compliance officer for our clients, a personal finance company in County Kerry. You will be responsible for Revieing lending activity for regulatory compliance, assess affordability and credit processes, approve customer communications and promotions, provide real-time compliance advice to teams, monitor regulatory updates, investigate issues or breaches, track remediation actions, update policies, and prepare management and regulatory reporting. This is a permanent position with office based in Killarney, County Kerry.Role Overview:Responsible for ensuring the firm's personal lending and financial services activities comply with all applicable regulatory and legal requirementsActs as a key second-line compliance function, providing oversight, challenge, and pragmatic advice to the businessSupports strong conduct standards, effective risk management, and fair customer outcomesInterpret and implement consumer credit and financial services regulations relevant to personal loansMaintain, review, and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and controlsReview and approve personal loan products, customer documentation, and terms & conditionsOversee responsible lending, affordability, and creditworthiness assessmentsIdentify compliance issues and breaches, perform root cause analysis, and track remediation actionsProvide day-to-day compliance advice to credit, underwriting, operations, marketing, and customer service teamsSupport regulatory reporting, audits, inspections, and management informationQualifications, Skills & ExperienceDegree-level education or equivalent professional experienceProfessional compliance qualification such as ICA Certificate/Diploma in Compliance, ICA Consumer Credit, or equivalent2+ years' previous experience in a compliance role, with Strong knowledge of personal loans, consumer credit, lending and regulatory regulations.Salary is based on experience and in the region of €33 – €45,000.
