Summary of roleAirtel ATN requires a Quality Assurance Engineer to assist in delivering high quality products to our customers. This person will work closely with the Engineering teams and will report to the Head of Quality and Compliance. Airtel ATN is an ISO 9001 certified company.ResponsibilitiesVerify adherence to required level of standards (DO-178, ED-109, ISO, …) through all phases of the software development lifecycleCreate the software quality assurance plan (SQAP)Conduct the planned QA audits and reviews of the software development lifecycleCreate an audit plan (QAP) for each audit required by the SQAPPerform planned audits and create quality audit reports (QAR)Verify that the relevant checklists have been completed for each documentVerify that review comments are addressed for each documentVerify that problem reports are managed according to the agreed processAttend change control board meetingsMeet the project team to discuss any non-conformances found during QA audits or reviewsCreate the software quality assurance report which will be sent to the customer and will include all process and standard non-conformancesInteract with the customer to discuss the SQAR if required and ensure their requirements are met and the customer is satisfiedAssist the project teams with ongoing QA requirementsAttend and contribute to quality management meetingsContribute to engineering and quality assurance process improvementsContribute to engineering standards, practices and processesQualityAssist the Head of Quality and Compliance with audits and quality documentation updates as required.Understand and conform to the quality management system in Airtel ATN.Personal and Professional DevelopmentTake ownership of personal and professional developmentCoaching and training in quality assuranceSeeks expert advice from inside and outside the company as and when necessary to compliment own expertiseISMSComply with all applicable information security policies, procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements.Immediately report any actual or suspected information security incidents to the designated authority.Complete periodic security awareness training, compliance training, and apply these to your work.Education and CompetenciesRecognised university degree or equivalent experience.EssentialMinimum of one years' experience in junior/graduate software developer role or a related discipline.A member of and attend CCBs.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to deliver high quality documentation.Excellent written skills in English.Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office.Familiarity with the SDLC and software development.Experience with Software certificationExcellent communication skillsProven track record of working as part of a team.Mentoring junior QA EngineersExperience in various programming languages (C, C++, Python, etc)DesirableA qualification related to auditing to ISO 9001 desirableSome experience in TestingNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
