Events Bar Manager
TheHallatOlive+Oak
The Events Bar Manager at O+O Hospitality is the creative force and on-site leader behind every beverage experience in our private dining rooms.
You'll craft cocktail and wine programs, build engaging training content, mentor a talented bar team, and captain select events to ensure flawless, restaurant-caliber service.
Core tasks and key responsibilities
Design beverage programs that align with each event's concept, budget, and service style—develop seasonal cocktail menus, curated wine pairings, and detailed recipe specs.
Produce training materials and lead ongoing beverage classes and tastings for bartenders, servers, and managers.
Act as Event Captain for bar service on high-profile functions: coordinate timelines with culinary and service leads, run pre-shift briefings, and remain present on the floor to guide the team.
Supervise bar staff performance, ensuring service standards, professionalism, and product knowledge are upheld throughout every shift.
Manage bar operations: ordering, receiving, inventory counts, and cost-control reporting—hitting beverage COGS targets and preventing variance.
Maintain compliance with liquor-license regulations, health-department codes, and internal safety policies; immediately report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
Prepare post-event bar reports detailing consumption, inventory needs, wins, and improvement opportunities for continuous program growth.
Attend Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings and collaborate with Sales, Culinary, and Event Service teams to plan for successful execution.
Deliver genuine hospitality to guests, vendors, and colleagues while directing all efforts toward guest satisfaction, brand standards, and revenue generation.
Model and enforce O+O Core Values; hold yourself and others accountable to our culture.
