Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Educational Psychology and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

">
* Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents.
">
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to design and implement tailored care plans.
">
* Offer consultation, clinical supervision, and support to team members and trainee psychologists.
">
* Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with service protocols.
">
* Contribute to service development, policy implementation, and ongoing quality improvement.
">
* Stay current with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent psychology.
">
* Develop and deliver training and psychoeducational programmes for families and professionals.
">

Required Skills and Qualifications

">
* Postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Educational Psychology (must be validated by the Dept of Health in Ireland).
">
* Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in a clinical setting.
">
* Eligible for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
">
* Strong assessment and therapeutic skills across a variety of clinical presentations.
">
* Experience supporting children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
">
* Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
">
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
">
* Previous experience in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
">
* Training in specific therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, systemic therapy).
">
* Experience delivering training or psychoeducation to families or professionals.
">
