Finance Manager - Permanent Location: Newcastle West, Co. Limerick Type: Full-time | Permanent Abrivia Recruitment is partnering with an organisation in the construction and residential development sector to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a rapidly growing, hands-on business with a strong pipeline of residential development projects. The successful candidate will report to the CFO and will take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, project cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement. The role involves a mix of hands-on finance work and strategic input, working closely with senior leadership, project teams, and operational stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and financial reports. Support year-end financial statements, audit preparation, and statutory reporting requirements. Maintain accurate financial records and strengthen reporting processes across the business. Track job costs, labour, materials, subcontractor expenses, and development costs across multiple projects. Monitor budget versus actual performance and support cost control initiatives across construction projects. Manage VAT returns, RCT filings, PAYE obligations, and wider Irish compliance requirements. Process payroll and support PAYE modernisation requirements. Manage subcontractor payments, RCT deductions, and related controls. Support budgeting, forecasting, feasibility analysis, and development cost reporting. Provide financial input into procurement, tendering, and commercial decision-making. Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems, reporting tools, and internal controls. Assist with grant, tax credit, and capital allowance applications where relevant. Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, directors, external advisors, and operational teams. Requirements: Qualified accountant, ideally ACCA, ACA, or CIMA. Strong financial accounting, management accounting, and reporting experience. Strong understanding of Irish VAT, RCT, PAYE, and compliance obligations. Commercially aware with the ability to provide practical financial insight to non-finance stakeholders. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a growing, evolving business environment. Strong Excel and systems capability. Desirable: Experience in construction, property development, engineering, manufacturing, or an SME environment. Previous exposure to project cost accounting or job costing. Experience using Xero or supporting finance systems improvements. Benefits: Salary of €65,000 - €70,000. Opportunity to join a rapidly scaling residential development business.
