Position
The Senior Design Engineer will join our Energy, Utilities and Renewables design team, working client-facing.
Responsibilities include:
Design & project management from conceptual phase through to project completion in the Energy and Utilities sectors, covering building services/energy upgrades, renewables (biogas, biomass, CHP, solar, hydro, industrial utilities), pipelines, and installations (gas, oil, water, wastewater).
Industrial and building services utilities design, HVAC, steam, refrigeration & compressed air systems.
Energy retrofit upgrades of buildings and building fabric.
Development of preliminary and detailed design calculations.
Development of design drawings and specifications.
Development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design reports.
Balance of plant design.
Design and implementation of energy saving projects.
Attend and participate in HAZID/HAZOP and LOPA studies.
Carry out PSDP role.

The position is based in Cork, with consideration for Dublin, Galway, and Portlaoise offices.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Mechanical engineering degree (Honours bachelor's degree or higher) or a related discipline.
7+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience; CEng beneficial but not essential.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Good academic record.
Full clean driving licence and own transport required.
Fluent written and spoken English essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
