Provide strategic and operational leadership for a manufacturing value stream within a global medical device manufacturing site in Cork, Ireland, leading production teams and cross-functional partners to deliver strong safety, quality, service, cost, and people performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a value stream organisation of 200+ employees across multiple shifts, setting stretch goals and driving strong business and team performance.
Deliver results across the balanced scorecard (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and People) while ensuring customer requirements and production targets are met.
Build strong collaborative relationships with Engineering, Quality and other cross-functional partners, as well as local and global stakeholders.
Manage and develop Senior Production Supervisors and Production Supervisors, with indirect leadership of Product Builders across multiple shifts.
Plan and allocate resources and capacity to deliver committed production plans and support future growth.
Coach and mentor leaders to build capability and maintain a strong succession pipeline.
Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, engagement and effective communication across the value stream.
Manage departmental financial performance, including annual budgeting and cost control.
Drive Lean and continuous improvement through tools such as Daily Accountability, 5S, structured problem solving and team communication routines.
Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory standards and GMP requirements to protect patient safety and product integrity.
Partner with Engineering and Quality leaders to develop and execute the value stream’s 3-year strategic plan and support site strategic initiatives.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
Typically 8+ years’ leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, deliver results against targets and deadlines, make effective decisions, and drive innovation and engagement.
