We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Catering Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Job Description:
This Catering Assistant will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, and ensuring all hygiene and safety regulations are followed.
The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, and maintain a positive attitude in a busy environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Previous kitchen or catering experience desirable but not essential;
* Manual Handling Certificate required (training can often be provided);
* HACCP/Food Safety Level 1 or 2 certification advantageous; and
* Good understanding of cleaning standards and hygiene practices.
Benefits:
This role offers a competitive hourly rate of €13.00-€17.50 per hour, depending on experience, site, and agency. You will also have the opportunity to work in various settings, including hospitals, schools, hotels, and event catering venues.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with basic food preparation (e.g., peeling, chopping, plating, portioning);
* Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly and thoroughly;
* Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, floors, equipment, and work surfaces;
* Restock food and service stations during busy periods;
* Assist chefs and catering staff as needed during meal service;
* Follow HACCP and food safety procedures at all times;
