Our Client a HSE supported Mental health Hospital is looking for a day or night Clinical Nurse Manager II. This person will play a pivotal role in the daily management of this organisation. The primary objective is to provide leadership, motivation and ensure the effective use of resources in the provision of the highest standard of patient care; promotion and use of the Recovery Model and to facilitate the development of both Staff and Student Nurses while also assisting in the implementation of change within the hospital. Duties: Uses accurate and comprehensive knowledge of ethical principles and code of professional conduct within their scope of nursing practice. Adhere to the professional code of conduct for nurses in Ireland. Be responsible that direction and advice given to staff ensures that all nursing practice is carried out in accordance with HIQA directives. Promote and maintain duty of care to patients. Promote advocacy for the rights of patients and also serve as an advocate for patients Ensure any trials projects or research on the ward is carried out with guidelines issued by the ethics Committee Promote the use of the Recovery and Safe wards model. Monitor standards of care and assist in the development and implementation of nursing audits and subsequent action plans. Ensure that all nursing personnel accountable to you are competent and adhere to the current legal requirements for the administration and storage of medicines/drugs. Ensure that all nursing personnel are knowledgeable with regards to hospital policies regarding same. Have an in depth knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement.
