Seasonal General Operatives (Fixed-Term Contracts 2026-2027)

Join the team at Lir Chocolates for our 2026-2027 seasonal production period! We’re recruiting General Operatives on fixed-term contracts to support our busy chocolate manufacturing site.
As a General Operative, you’ll work in either production or packing, contributing to the creation of our high‑quality chocolate products. You'll operate on a factory line, follow food safety standards, maintain excellent hygiene and work closely with your team to meet daily targets.
Shift Patterns Available
Days - Monday to Friday 0600‑1430
Days - Monday to Thursday 0600‑1630
Nights - Monday to Friday 1430‑0100
Nights - Monday to Thursday 1630‑0300
Weekend Nights - Friday to Sunday 1800‑0630
Weekend Days - Friday to Sunday 0600‑1830
Pay rate
€14.15 per hour plus 4% shift premium for weekend days and 8% shift premium for weekend nights.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Operating production line machinery safely and efficiently (full training provided).
Packing, weighing, and labelling products to company standards.
Monitoring product quality and reporting any defects or issues promptly.
Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and organised work area.
Following all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Carrying out routine cleaning of equipment and production areas.
Assisting with loading, unloading, and moving stock when required.
Accurately completing production and quality records.
Working collaboratively with your team to achieve daily output targets.
Following instructions from team leaders and supervisors.
Being flexible and willing to support different areas of production as business needs change.
Adhering to all health and safety guidelines at all times.
Ability to work on your own initiative while being a strong team player.
A positive, proactive attitude and reliable approach to work.
Good communication skills – verbal, written, and reading.
Punctual, hardworking, and committed.
