CK Group are recruiting for a Maintenance Manager, on behalf of a Life Sciences company, based onsite in Cork, Ireland. This is a permanent role, with Mon-Fri day time working hours.
Salary: Competitive.

The Role:
The Maintenance Manager reports to the Head of Operations (Medical and Analytical devices) and is responsible for leading the activities of the Maintenance teams.
The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of Supervisors, technicians, and engineers, coordinating all maintenance activities to support daily production in a safe, cost-effective, and environmentally sound manner, ensuring capacity and achieving plant performance metrics. This role is a key member of the Cork Extended Leadership Team (ELT), responsible for delivering all targets and metrics within the operational areas.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager:
1. Provide leadership for safety initiatives and practices to develop and maintain an injury-free workplace.
2. Develop and implement a maintenance strategy, including autonomous, preventative, and predictive maintenance, in partnership with other plant leaders.
3. Maintain and develop a maintenance management system, establishing a sustainable system for managing technical documentation, maintenance routines, scheduling, and spare parts.
4. Establish maintenance metrics to improve asset lifespan, maintenance productivity, and equipment operating costs.
5. Manage projects aimed at improving equipment performance and replacing existing equipment.
Who you are:
1. Excellent leadership, facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
2. Strong project management experience.
3. Experience with injection moulding, high-speed assembly, packaging, bulk chemical processing, and facilities equipment.
4. Experience with planning and executing change management.
5. Proficient in using maintenance management systems.
6. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen; medical device experience is desirable.
7. Strong knowledge in Maintenance and Reliability.
