Job Title: Financial Operations Manager
This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role within a high-volume manufacturing facility environment. The position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance function, leading monthly reporting, supporting financial planning cycles, and acting as a key business partner across operational teams.
The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with strong manufacturing experience and a hands-on, solutions-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead month-end close and deliver management accounts and performance dashboards.
* Analyse financial results, investigate variances, and provide insights to operational teams.
* Support annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cost improvement tracking.
* Prepare value stream profit & loss accounts, standard cost calculations, and flash reports.
* Ensure compliance with corporate reporting requirements and internal controls (SOX, audit readiness).
* Partner with operational teams on OPEX management, capital expenditure, and grant claims.
* Provide financial evaluation of business cases and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support internal and external audits, and drive control enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills:
* AACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent qualification in accounting.
* Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a manufacturing environment.
* In-depth understanding of standard costing and factory finance operations.
* Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred.
* Prior exposure to Shared Services environments advantageous.
