Our client is a leading PLCs with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence. The company is a global leader in sustainability and digital innovation within the building sector, and they are now seeking to hire a Group Financial Accountant.
This is a permanent role based at the group head office, operating on a hybrid working model (three days a week in the office).
2. The Role
The Group Financial Accountant will support group reporting and control activities, working closely with senior stakeholders and divisional finance teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Month-end group reporting and consolidation
Supporting interim and year-end statutory consolidation
Ownership of key technical accounting areas (e.g. impairments, pensions, IFRS 16)
Preparation and review of Annual Report financial disclosures
Acquisition accounting and purchase price allocations
Liaison with external auditors
Preparation and review of UK and Irish statutory accounts
Driving reporting system and process improvements
3. The Person
Qualified Big4 Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
Experience working within a PLC environment.
Strong technical accounting and control focus
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
