Job Description
Main purpose of the role: Ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively, providing customers with excellent service and fresh food in a clean, safe environment. Achieve store targets (sales and profitability) through effective management of people and operations.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have/be
* 2 years' experience in a relevant position (desirable)
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
* Experience balancing cash/tills
* Excellent communication skills
* Good delegation skills
* Highly driven with a strong work ethic
* Understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
* Commerciality and brand awareness
* Passion for grocery retail
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Main duties:

* Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets and KPIs such as gross profit margin, net margin, and waste
* Implement planograms and ensure correct product range in store
* Merchandise and present the store to high standards
* Lead by example, fostering teamwork and a positive workplace atmosphere
* Promote good communication in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
* Support Store Manager in team development and store operations
* Manage employee performance with regular feedback and recognition
* Handle customer queries professionally and efficiently
* Understand and achieve margins across departments
* Engage with new initiatives and adapt to new working methods
