Growing together.About the roleWe have a key leadership role open for the Director Business Performance & Process Improvement, Payment Integrity based in Ireland.This is a key management position, based in Ireland, within a high-value, fast-paced, and growing function. The role will lead significant change and transformation within operations, reporting to the Senior Director / VP. The successful candidate will be accountable both directly and indirectly through a matrix team as defined here.Responsibilities:Develop Non-Clinical Business Process Improvement & Transformation Strategy across a span of value streams to support ambitious growth targets, focusing on cost efficiency and medical cost savings.Partner with Operations leaders/teams, Analytics, R&D, Technology to develop Business Process Improvement & Transformation Strategy, create CBA, execution roadmap/resource needs, and assess capital needs.Identify and lead specific strategic projects/initiatives while maintaining oversight of all initiatives within the overall strategy.Ensure operational performance improvements are tracked accurately by establishing and automating statistical control models for value streams, utilizing internal tools (dashboards, scorecards, reports) to update stakeholders, and develop corrective action plans as needed.Monitor and propose changes to performance metrics in partnership with finance, Analytics, workforce management, and industrial engineering, ensuring benefits are reflected in P&L and productivity reports.Provide guidance and assistance to internal and external partners to ensure effective implementation of programs and strategies, and realization of value.Collaborate with stakeholders, influencing without authority to gain support and buy-in for proposed solutions and adherence to team requirements.Communicate progress, challenges, and required actions to Leadership/Senior Leadership.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Transformation, Change Management, Strategy.Strong communication skills, with experience engaging at Senior Leadership levels.Proven track record in developing Transformation Strategies, driving Change Management, and fostering Innovation.Experience managing large-scale, complex programs within a matrix environment.Training in process improvement and change management methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean, or equivalent.Preferred Qualifications:Masters Degree or Business Degree in Technology / Digital / Change Management.Six Sigma Black Belt certification with in-depth LEAN process knowledge.Knowledge of the US Healthcare industry, including healthcare entities, Member/Eligibility, and claims lifecycle.Experience with Payment Integrity business or Healthcare Financial Services.Experience leading growth activities.Careers with Optum are about building a better health system for everyone.
