The Role: Project EngineerSligoOnsite role - the role is designated onsite and the chosen candidate must be available to be onsite dailyContractor opportunityRole Brief: In this role you will be responsible for the provision of engineering services across a pharma/biotech manufacturing site for an NNIT Ireland client.
You willmanage a range ofcapital engineering projects with atypical project value range of anything up to €5 million.You will join a team of 8 reporting to the Capital Projects Manager, and youwill be supporting a number of small/medium sized capital projects related to equipment/installation/construction.
Core Responsibilities: To support the engineering teams in controlling uptime of process equipment and optimizing efficiencies both in equipment and process performance.To support the Engineering team with the emphasis on continual operational improvements.To provide process engineering support and technical trouble shooting within the site.To improve the operations and reliability of equipment and processes by the successful identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.To liaise with Production to ensure equipment performance is maximized.Leadership of process equipment commissioning and validation activities.Identification and project management of continuous improvement projects.Preparation of feasibility studies and budget management for all assigned projects.Management and negotiation of external contracts and contractors.Skills Brief: Essential: - Only candidate meeting all of these requirements will be considered 5 years + strong site experience in API Manufacturing / OSD Manufacturing / BioPharma / Sterile Fill-Finish.Degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline (Mechanical/Chemical/Process).A mechanical, chemical or process engineering background in OSD or Biopharma manufacturing projects.Proven track record of supporting capital project execution(equipment/process/manufacturing type projects) from cradle to handover with large national/multinational companies.Good knowledge of change control and C&Q processes/execution.Preferred: - You should have experience in a number of the below areas:
API process equipment trains (reactors, filter dryers, pumps, process pipework, milling, containment technology – gloveboxes, downflow booths, etc.
).Drug Product equipment (tablet press, roller compaction, tablet coater, material handling – post hoists, blenders, milling – Quadro Comils, etc.
)Cleanroom processing/utilities – HVAC, CIP systems, Purified water generation and distribution systems, etc.Working knowledge of distributed control systems, such as Delta V.Hand-on experience thatrequired a logical and structured approach to resolving day today engineering issues typical of a live manufacturing environment.Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements relating to the Healthcare industry.Person Brief: This role requires an individual educated to Bachelors or Masters level in a suitable Engineering discipline.
You will also have over 5 years industry experience and the majority of the above Preferred skills alongside ALL of the essential skills.

Pharma, OSD/API, Biotech or Sterile Fill-Finish manufacturing experience in a relevant project focused role is essential.
Preference will be given to candidates from engineering services companies with experience deliveringequipment andprocess manufacturing type projects.
