About Role
Lead DeltaV Engineer to work with one of our clients at the cutting edge of Industry 4.0. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to provide Lead level guidance and performance in a world leading Bioprocess facility in Limerick, Ireland.
They will be accountable for leading, performing, and directing activities and project team regarding the process control system design details with DeltaV as the control system platform and interfacing with other process control systems as necessary. They must also work closely with the Project Managers to provide installations that are successful not only technically, but on time and budget as well.
Requirements
Knowledge of biopharma process. Biotech experience (upstream/downstream/clean utilities)
Previous process area lead experience strongly preferred.
Work with customers and project teams to solve complex control problems requiring industry expertise.
Work with customers to develop project methodologies that will affect their standards and develop functional requirements based on observation of the process or input from process engineers.
Solve complex process control problems in the industry and start up complex systems at customer’s plants.
Lead, plan and organize the work of project teams, and act as a mentor for individuals within the group.
Design, implement and test controls for a complex process or area of a project and provide application and process expertise.
Lead department efforts to improve processes.
Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Required Skills
BS in a related engineering field (e.g. Electrical, Instrument, Chemical)
Minimum 10 years Industry experience includes biotech manufacturing knowledge
Minimum 5 years DeltaV configuration experience with both Batch and Continuous applications
Process control project experience required.
Ability to develop proposals and quote large complex batch projects
Industry best practices finder and champion. Understand, in detail, concepts of current advance control techniques and the control requirements of most commonly used process equipment. Ability to solve process control problems using these techniques.
Experience in startup of large automation projects.
Cost justify process improvements/projects.
