Coolebridge are currently recruiting for Security positions within our Family Residential Services in Birr. Applications are open to both graduates and experienced professionals.
Coolebridge provide a range of residential services to meet the growing needs of vulnerable adults, families, and those most marginalised. Services include Long Term Residential, Emergency Residential and Residential Family Support Services. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and under the guidance and supervision of the Centre Managers, you will be responsible for providing quality driven, trauma informed care to the residents availing of our services. You will ensure secure and sustainable living arrangements to vulnerable people aged 18 + years. This role will suit proactive, accountable, and flexible professionals with an interest in human rights and equality, trauma informed care and working with marginalised & vulnerable individuals and families.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform hourly walks around the inside and outside of the property, hitting guarding contact points. Report or take appropriate action on any breaches of security.
Accurately record information on checklists and record any incidents to discuss with management
Operate cameras and be aware of activity on site in all areas
Allow access to visitors and complete sign in sheets accurately
Keep public areas clean and tidy, changing bins, and other domestic tasks as needed. Storage of bulky items and some basic maintenance tasks may be required
To be a responsible person on site in the event of an emergency

Essential:
Candidates from the following fields with related qualifications achieved in Ireland are welcomed:
Up to date PSA licence, qualification in standard security and safety protocols, Excellent verbal communication skills, Ability to work well in a team and on own initiative, Good physical fitness and strength, Quick thinking and problem-solving skills, good people interpersonal skills, Strong attention to detail, Ability to work in high-pressure environments, working knowledge of relevant computer applications.
Desirable:
Candidates with an understanding in any of the following fields: Social Science, Social Studies, Social Policy, Social Inclusion, Family Support, Nursing Studies, Disability Studies, Behavioural Science's, Early Years Care, Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy, Addiction Counselling, Youth and Community
