 
        
        Operating System Manager (Manufacturing)

Role Summary
The Vertiv Operating System Manager (VOS Manager) is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing lean manufacturing processes, including deployment of the VOS operating system. Oversees continuous improvement projects and the standardization of manufacturing processes across three plants in the North of Ireland (Derry, NI and Burnfoot, RoI).
Responsibilities
 * Develop and implement strategies aligned with company goals, creating execution plans for performance improvement initiatives with operations managers and team leaders.
 * Build the capabilities of management and employees within lean manufacturing, creating sustainable daily problem-solving and continuous improvement models.
 * Lead and coach operational leaders to integrate functions across the value chain, driving initiatives that reduce lead times, improve customer service, lower costs, and enhance cash flow.
 * Coordinate VOS (operating system) coordinators and support staff, ensuring alignment with VOS specifications and framework.
 * Lead the VOS Steering Committee and manage the implementation of policies and procedures.
 * Conduct operational baselines, financial analysis, and ongoing performance measurement and improvement at the local Vertiv site.
 * Collaborate with Regional VOS Leader and General Manager (Plant Manager) on VOS strategy deployment and consistency across sites.
 * Travel to the three Irish plants and occasional sites in EMEA (10% travel).
Qualifications
 * 3–5 years of experience coaching change management, behavior coaching, and performance management, with lean/Six Sigma expertise.
 * Continuously improvement and manufacturing engineering background.
 * Leadership skills for managing workflow and leading a team.
 * Analytical skills, including statistical modeling, root cause analysis and other improvement tools.
 * Fluent in English.
 * Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Access).
