Job Overview:
This is a senior specialist nursing position that plays a pivotal role in delivering advanced, patient-centred care throughout the haematology oncology pathway.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert nursing care for patients undergoing haematopoietic stem cell transplantation and their donors.
* Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to create tailored care plans.
* Coordinate investigations, treatments, follow-up appointments, and multidisciplinary team communication.
* Lead symptom management, patient education, and nurse-led counselling sessions.
* Ensure data integrity, track key performance indicators, and participate in audits and quality assurance initiatives.
Education & Leadership:
* Deliver educational programmes for patients, donors, and families.
* Mentor and support nursing staff and contribute to multidisciplinary learning initiatives.
* Pursue evidence-based practice and engage in national education programmes.
