Our client, a growing pharmaceutical company with a strong presence across Europe, is seeking a National Account Manager to lead and develop key commercial relationships across the Irish market.
The Role
Reporting to the Country Manager, the National Account Manager will be responsible for building, managing, and profitably growing relationships within the Irish pharma wholesale, retail pharmacy, and hospital landscape. This role plays a key part in driving commercial performance, supporting product launches, and ensuring continuity of supply across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow relationships with Irish wholesalers, buying groups, pharmacy chains, hospitals, and private healthcare providers
Identify new commercial opportunities and customers to drive product sales
Negotiate and manage commercial agreements in line with company strategy
Support new product launches, including forecasting, planning, and market insight preparation
Work closely with internal and regional teams on demand forecasting and supply chain continuity
Engage with logistics partners to ensure smooth product set‑up and ongoing supply
Support market access activities, including pricing submissions and interactions with key stakeholders (CPU, PCRS, IPU, wholesalers)
Ensure full compliance with IPHA Code of Practice and all relevant regulations
About You
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial role within the pharmaceutical industry
Strong understanding of Irish wholesaler models, pricing structures, rebates, and deals
Experience across branded and/or generic pharmaceuticals
Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Confident relationship‑builder with excellent communication skills
Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a commercial leadership role
Education
Degree level education (essential)
