Electrical Estimator Limerick (Open to Graduate & Senior Levels) Talent Curve Recruitment is partnering with a leading electrical contractor in Limerick to recruit for their commercial team.
Due to a strong pipeline of Tier 1 projects in the pharmaceutical, industrial, and data centre sectors, we are seeking both Graduate and Senior Electrical Estimators.
This is a key commercial role within a high-performing pre-construction team.
For graduates, it offers a structured entry into MEP cost management; for senior professionals, it provides a platform to lead high-value tenders in the Midwest region.
Core Responsibilities Responsibilities will be tailored to the candidate's level of experience: Tendering: Lead or support the preparation of comprehensive electrical tenders, ensuring all technical and commercial requirements are met.
Measurement & Take-offs: Conduct detailed measurement and take-offs from 2 D drawings and 3 D models using specialist software (e.g., Trimble, Bluebeam, or Cypher).
Cost Analysis: Develop estimates for plant, materials, direct labour, and sub-contractor packages.
Supplier Liaison: Build and maintain relationships with wholesalers and specialist vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative technical solutions.
Mentorship (Senior Level): Senior estimators will be expected to mentor junior staff and oversee the output of the estimating department.
Training (Graduate Level): Graduates will receive full mentorship on measurement techniques, software usage, and the commercial lifecycle of a project.
Candidate Profile Senior Level Applicants Experience: 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator within the Irish or UK contracting market.
Expertise: Proven track record in successfully tendering for projects valued over €5m.
Technical: Deep understanding of MV/LV distribution, fire alarms, and industrial control systems.
Graduate Level Applicants Education: A Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical discipline.
Aptitude: Strong numerical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a keen interest in the commercial side of engineering.
Attitude: A proactive learner with excellent communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: €40,000 €80,000+ per annum (Commensurate with experience level).
Location: Limerick (Office-based with hybrid options available).
