Position Summary

The Shipping Lead assists the Shipping Supervisor with operations and is accountable for ensuring scheduled movement of finished product and raw materials are executed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate process flow and scheduling for the shipping and receiving area.

- Demonstrate knowledge and skills of all jobs within the department.

- Coach and mentor shipping and receiving employees.

- Ensure required paperwork is completed for pre and post shift activities.

- Ensure team members follow GMP/QA, sanitation, and procedures.

- Make recommendations or improvements to the Shipping Supervisor.

- Notate process irregularities and communicate with team members to correct problems.

- Ensure proper rotation of product is loaded using FIFO system.

- Ensure compliance for loading and replenishment of partial pallets.

- Responsible for ensuring trucks and trailers are loaded accurately per order requests.

- Safely utilize yard mule for transportation of raw materials.

- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.

- Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy, and MMAD volunteering opportunities.

- Invest in and be an example of Milo's Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

- Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and perform basic mathematical functions.

- Valid driver's license required.

- Forklift and electric pallet jack certification will be required upon job placement.
