Accountant, Qualified Accountant, Semi Senior required by fast growing, medium sized accountancy practice based in Waterford City.
Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for leading statutory accounts and audits across a range of sectors, Responsibilities will include Lead statutory accounts and audits (50:50 throughout year) across a range of sectors including group, SME, charity and financial services Manage/supervise a portfolio of concurrent audit and accounts assignments, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Prepare financial statements in compliance with FRS 102 and FRS 105 Ensure compliance with Irish tax legislation, regulatory requirements and statutory filing deadlines.
Act as main point of contact throughout the audit and year-end process Supervise and mentor junior staff and trainees Prepare corporation tax, income tax and VAT computations Contribute to audit planning, risk assessment and file completion.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Bright Accounts Production, TaxPro, CTPro and Sage Line 50 Familiar with various other accounting packages such as Xero, Big Red Cloud, Big Red Book and QuickBooks Role will Suit Qualified Accountant ACA, CPA, ACCA Min of 3 years relevant experience in accountancy practice Excellent time management skills, self-motivated and highly organised skills essential Good Systems experience required Strong Communication skills essential with fluency in both Written and oral English essential Strong Team player required Skills: Statutory Accounts Taxation Audit Accounts Preparation ACA
