The Tirlan Operational Readiness Program (ORP) is a standardised approach to ensuring the successful delivery of capital projects within the company.
Operational readiness is defined as the process of preparing end-users and their supporting organisation to safely, efficiently, and sustainably operate an asset from day one.
Role Profile
A vacancy has arisen for the position of Services & Utilities Project ORP located on the Ballyragget site. Reporting to the Site Utilities & Environmental manager, this role will be integral to the project team for two high-value projects: a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) AD project and a Whey diversity project.
Responsibilities
* Gather a deep understanding of the services and utilities requirements for the site and all implications of the proposed projects.
* Advocate on behalf of the Services & Utilities Department to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, practical, and efficient project solution.
* Daily engagement with the Project Team, including project engineers, suppliers, contractors, Tirlan's ORP Lead, and management.
* Represent the best interests of end-users during project design and scoping, ensuring EHS, training, and future maintenance plans are considered.
* Develop and agree Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with the Project Team.
* Maintain engagement with all stakeholder departments throughout each phase of the project.
* Work closely with the Project Team to ensure energy efficiency and sustainability are prioritised in all design and build discussions.
* Create a comprehensive commissioning protocol to facilitate necessary testing and training.
* Collaborate with the project engineering team to determine commissioning timelines and schedule vendor support.
* Coordinate all training requirements, including plant manual reviews and SOP updates.
Requirements
* Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* 3+ years' experience in utility management within a large-scale manufacturing environment, preferably in the Dairy, Food, Beverage, or Healthcare industries.
* Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Excellent communication, verbal and written.
* Familiarity with best practice techniques such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma/Business Excellence, and driving Continuous Improvement Projects.
* Motivated and self-driven individual with excellent analytical and IT skills.
