Nursing Leadership Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising the delivery of high-quality, person-centred nursing care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Director of Nursing in driving forward clinical practices to meet current HIQA standards and national health policies.
* Monitor and evaluate clinical practice to ensure adherence to HIQA regulations.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and monitor care plans.
* Oversee infection prevention and control measures, ensuring compliance with up-to-date HIQA guidance.
* Maintain ongoing compliance with all relevant legislation and HIQA regulations.
* Support the preparation for, response to, and follow-up on HIQA inspections and audits.
* Ensure accurate documentation, including risk registers, incident logs, care plans, and audit results.
* Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and care staff, promoting continuous professional development.
* Participate in recruitment, onboarding, rostering, and performance appraisals.
* Facilitate regular team meetings, clinical supervision, and reflective practice sessions.
Requirements:
* Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration required.
* Minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in nursing management or similar aged care setting.
* Demonstrated knowledge of HIQA Standards and relevant legislation.
* Leadership training and/or management qualification desirable.
* Postgraduate qualification in nursing leadership.
