We're proud to partner with a prestigious client in the hospitality industry to search for a talented Head Chef to overlook a busy 4-Star Hotel In Limerick CityAn established 4-star hospitality property in Limerick is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead its kitchen operation. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering consistently high-quality food.The successful candidate will take full responsibility for kitchen operations, team leadership, menu development, food safety compliance, and cost control, while fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.What's in it for you?Opportunity to join a people-focused, progressive hospitality groupStrong emphasis on training, development, and career progression€60,000-€70,000 per annum salary.Contributory company pension schemeCompany life insuranceStaff meals while on dutyEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Bike to Work SchemeAdditional staff benefits and savings initiativesKey Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared and presented to the highest standardsLead, manage, and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive and cohesive working environmentDevelop, train, and coach kitchen staff, maintaining ongoing training programmesPlan and manage rosters, control labour costs, and support recruitment where requiredMaintain high standards of productivity, performance, and service during peak periodsDrive creativity through seasonal menu development and special event offeringsEnsure all dishes are prepared and delivered in a timely and consistent mannerImplement and maintain HACCP standards, ensuring full compliance and documentationManage food, energy, and waste control initiatives within the kitchenBuild and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and internal departmentsCommunicate effectively with staff and management through meetings, briefings, and handoversReport regularly to senior management on performance, purchasing, and operational improvementsKey Requirements:Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership role, ideally within a 4-star hotel or similar environmentHACCP trained with a strong focus on food safety and hygiene standardsA genuine passion for delivering exceptional food quality and guest experiencesCreative and innovative approach to menu designStrong leadership, organisational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environmentFluent in spoken and written EnglishProfessional appearance with a positive, flexible attitudeAvailability to work variable shifts, 5 days over 7, including weekendsMust be legally entitled to work full-time in IrelandShow more Show less
