Job Description
The Archdiocese of Cashel & Emly seeks a dynamic Youth Ministry Coordinator to lead initiatives under the Seeds of Hope plan. Reporting to the Director of Pastoral Planning and Development, this role plays a vital part in engaging young people, supporting parish volunteers, and collaborating with diocesan groups.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate youth ministry initiatives across the Archdiocese aligned with the Seeds of Hope plan.
* Work collaboratively with various individuals and groups working in youth ministry and pastoral planning & development.
* Provide training and support to parish-based youth ministry volunteers.
* Facilitate events, workshops, and programs that encourage youth participation in Church life.
* Develop engaging faith-based content for young people, including via social media.
* Maintain accurate records and produce regular progress reports.
* Engage regularly with clergy, pastoral teams, and diocesan staff to support youth initiatives.
Requirements:
* Practical experience in youth ministry, youth work, catechetics, or pastoral care.
* Recognised qualification in youth ministry, youth work, catechetics, or related discipline.
* Proven ability to relate to, engage with, and inspire young people and young adults.
* Demonstrated commitment to faith development and promotion of Gospel values.
* Strong facilitation and training skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams and parishes.
* Proficient in social media use for youth engagement.
