Requirements
* Be registered in the Intellectual Disability Division of the live register maintained by NMBI – R.N.I.D. is - Essential.
* Completed Management Course – Essential
* Full clean driving licence and use of a car – Essential
* Have at least 5 years post-registration experience of disability nursing including 2 years front line clinical practice, management, education or quality improvement.
* Have an in-depth knowledge of Intellectual Disability Services delivered in a social model.
* Have a working knowledge of HIQA Standards as they apply to the role of the Practice Development coordinator.
* Have the ability to assist Senior Nursing Personnel / Management / Nurse Practice Development Coordinator - National in the formulation of clinical practice to support service delivery across all service areas.
* Possess Level 3 Core Competencies.
* Strong evidence of engaging in continuous professional development with a knowledge of student nurse training.
* Have the clinical experience and knowledge to ensure high standards of clinical and evidence-based standards.
* Have proven people leadership, communications and interpersonal skills.
* Be highly motivated with the ability to work as part of a team, or on your own initiative and the capacity to manage change.
