Catering Officer
Excel Recruitment is looking for a Catering Officer to work in a Healthcare unit in Dublin City
Immediate start
The position will be temporary ongoing and the rostered hours will be daytime shifts 5 over 7 days
The salary for a Catering Officer is based on HSE pay scales and depending on experience and years of service – €35k+

The experience required:
7. Two to three years experience in a Management role in Catering establishment- healthcare experience preferred but not essential
8. Experience with HACCP systems and quality checks
9. Degree or Diploma in Hotel & Catering or Chef Qualification
10. Duties for Catering Officer
11. Responsible for the daily catering operations
12. Checking HACCP records
13. Overseeing production in the main hitchen
14. Overseeing operations at pantry level on each ward
15. Adhering to modified diets and dietary requirements
16. Staff rostering
17. Food orders and invoicing
18. Checking Menu slips are completed
19. Hand Hygiene control
20. Patient Survey
21. Assist in food service if required
22. Admin duties
Training provided
Candidates will have knowledge of:
23. Food Safety Management System
24. Management of food Hygiene (HACCP)
25. Health & Safety obligations
Candidates must complete Garda Vetting
Experience working in a Healthcare unit is beneficial but not essential.
