Medforce are seeking an experienced and committed Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Children's Disability Network Team in Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative interdisciplinary team providing high‑quality, family‑centred services to children and young people with complex needs.
The Role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist on the CDNT, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive OT assessments and interventions to support children's participation, independence and functional development. You will work within a family‑centred model alongside Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Social Workers and other specialists.
Responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist:
* Completing advanced OT assessments and intervention plans tailored to each child's needs
* Supporting children with sensory processing differences, motor challenges, ADLs and equipment needs
* Providing parent and caregiver education and supporting goal‑setting within the family context
* Leading on clinical decision‑making and contributing to MDT case discussions
* Offering supervision and guidance to staff grade OT colleagues and students
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service evaluation and development
Requirements of the Senior Occupational Therapist:
* CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
* Minimum three years post‑qualification experience, with relevant paediatric or disability experience
* Strong clinical reasoning and evidence‑based practice skills
* Experience working within an MDT and in family‑centred models of care
* Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
