Child Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioural functioning of children and adolescents.
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings, utilising evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
* Collaborate closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and educational psychologists, to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
* Offer consultation and support to parents, caregivers, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate understanding of developmental and psychological issues and to promote effective strategies for support.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant records in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
* The successful candidate will require a doctorate in educational psychology or a doctorate in clinical psychology, and must be registered with the PSI as a psychologist.
* Registration as a Chartered Clinical / Educational Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or relevant professional body.
* Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in clinical practice, preferably working with children and adolescents.
* Demonstrated expertise in conducting psychological assessments and providing evidence-based recommendations for a range of developmental, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
