Strength & Conditioning CoachMD Performance & Therapy is a multidisciplinary service based in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, offering strength & conditioning, personal training and physiotherapy services to both athletes and the general population of all ages.We are seeking a suitably qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate, ambitious and eager to learn and develop as a practitioner. Full-time and part-time positions are available, depending on experience, availability, and service requirements, and flexibility will be provided to the right candidate.Key Responsibilities:Strength & Conditioning:Design, implement and monitor training programmes for youth and adult teams across a range of sports, including Gaelic football, soccer, hurling, swimming and boxing.Lead the planning and delivery of our private MDPT Youth Strength & Conditioning Programme years).Personal Training:Deliver individualised 1-1 and semi-private personal training programmes for general population and performance-focused clients.Apply strength & conditioning principles to support health, rehabilitation-adjacent, and performance goals across a diverse client base.Administration and Business Development:Maintain accurate session records, client data, and performance monitoring logs.Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of services through effective communication and administrative tasks.Where appropriate, support service promotion and business development initiatives, aligned with the candidate's experience and interests.Essential Criteria:Relevant qualifications in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science or related field.A strong understanding of the theoretical principles of training and athletic development.AED/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain upon appointment.Full driving licence and ability to travel for work.Desirable Criteria:Previous coaching experience in an adult team sports environment.Previous coaching experience with youths aged 11-17.Familiarity with performance monitoring technology including timing gates and jump measurement devices.Master's degree in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science, or related field.Professional accreditation or active pursuit of accreditation (e.g. CSCS, UKSCA, ASCA).Benefits:Competitive hourly rate ranging from €18.00–€40.00, commensurate with experience, with opportunities for increased earnings and responsibility over time, aligned with performance, experience, and role development.Strong commitment to ongoing professional development, including structured in-house mentorship, facilitation of external CPD opportunities, and financial support through a dedicated CPD budget.Opportunity to join a collaborative, friendly and supportive team of healthcare and exercise professionals.How to apply:Please email a CV and cover letter to Deadline:Friday 30th January 2026.
