Our bespoke software solutions, combined with long-term customer support, are critical to our customers' operations and to our continued success.We are looking for a Software Deployment Engineer to join our team, working across both the delivery of new software systems and the ongoing support of existing customers.The RoleThis is a varied, hands-on role that combines building and deploying new software solutions with supporting live customer systems.You will customize and configure in-house software for customer deployments, carry out testing and implementation, and provide training to customers and internal teams. Alongside this, you will support existing software customers, responding to issues, understanding the criticality of customers' weighing systems, and ensuring systems are restored and operating as quickly as possible.The role offers a balance between technical development, system delivery, and customer interaction.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, configure, and deploy bespoke software systems to meet customer specificationsOwn software delivery projects through to go-live, working closely with customers to ensure solutions meet agreed requirements and are successfully taken into live operationCustomer training and support on delivery of new systems and upgrades.Provide ongoing support to existing software customers and troubleshoot issues as they arise, including understand the business criticality of customer weighing systems and prioritize work accordinglyCollaborate with the Software Team and other internal teams to resolve complex technical issuesInterface with weighing hardware, including communication and control of external modulesReport designing, to meet customer requirements and expectations.Maintain accurate records of work, issues, testing, and progress in designated reporting toolsProduce and maintain documentation for bespoke software builds and customer solutionsMaintain high standards of quality by following company best practices across all software delivery and support activitiesTest new software developments and releases to ensure quality and reliabilitySupport the implementation of new systems, upgrades, and enhancementsDeliver training and support internal partners on new products and featuresContribute to software architecture and design in line with company software strategyCandidate CompetenciesWhat We're Looking For· Background in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline· Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance delivery work and support priorities· Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to technical issues· Ability to manage time effectively across project work and reactive support· Good communication and collaboration skills· Comfortable working as part of a team and across different areas of the business· Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office· Knowledge of Firebird and/or SQL databaseJob Type: Full-timePay: €50,000.00-€60,000.00 per yearAbility to commute/relocate:Clane, County Kildare: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
