Job Description
Our organisation is seeking a skilled Therapist and Mentor to join its dedicated therapeutic team in Kerry. This exciting opportunity involves providing therapeutic assessment, intervention, and clinical reasoning for children with diverse and complex needs.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care planning and develop strong working relationships with residential teams, foster carers, CAMHS, Primary Care, and Disability Services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide therapeutic support to children and young people with trauma- or welfare-related difficulties.
* Assess occupational performance needs within the child's family, home, social, and school environments.
* Develop and implement suitable therapeutic approaches to support children with complex needs.
* Collaborate with Social Workers, Social Care Workers, and other key professionals to ensure comprehensive care planning.
* Advocate for the needs and rights of children and young people.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Registration with CORU – Occupational Therapists Registration Board.
* Minimum three years post-qualification clinical experience, including at least one year working with children/young people.
* Strong clinical skills, professional judgment, and suitability for work within a multidisciplinary child-focused service.
* Full driving license and access to suitable transport.
* Additional training and/or experience in Sensory Integration.
