Position
The Leisure Club Assistant Manager.
Overview
The Leisure Club Assistant Manager will report to the Leisure Club Manager and General Manager at Talbot Fitness, Talbot Hotel Cork. The role involves managing and operating the leisure club, delivering excellent service to members and guests and supporting the club's financial targets.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily running and operation of Talbot Fitness at Talbot Hotel Cork.
Ensure a professional, friendly service is delivered to all members and guests at all times.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with members.
Maintain the highest hygiene standards consistently.
Assist in achieving budgetary and agreed targets.
Ensure plant and equipment are maintained to required standard.
Stay innovative, keep on trend, and adapt product offerings in agreement with the team.
Familiarise with the hotel product offering.
Foster a culture of professionalism and teamwork focusing on common goals, positivity and effective communication.
Coordinate and manage the team and rosters in line with business needs.
Work varying shifts as required.
Qualifications and Skills
3+ years of experience as Assistant Leisure Club Manager or similar.
Relative qualification in people management (advantage).
Nationally recognised Fitness Instructors qualification or equivalent.
ILAM Pool Lifeguard or equivalent qualification.
National Swimming and Spa Pool Certificate.
Swim Teachers/Assistant Swim Teachers qualification.
Class teaching experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong business acumen with understanding of revenue generation, cost control and target achievement.
Plant maintenance experience (essential).
