Job Description
The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale substation projects, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of complex works across multiple sites.
As a Site Manager with substation experience, you will be responsible for overseeing pre-mobilisation activities, preparing work packs, and planning works, including sequencing, outage coordination, and scheduling.
Additionally, you will need to liaise with site supervisors to ensure efficient and accurate tele messaging, enforce SHEQ compliance, and maintain accurate site records and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as PIW (Person in Charge of Work) and provide training if necessary.
2. Prepare and issue work packs; oversee pre-mobilisation activities.
3. Plan works including sequencing, outage coordination, and scheduling.
4. Liaise with site supervisors to ensure efficient and accurate tele messaging.
5. Enforce SHEQ compliance.
6. Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
7. Manage fault-related or additional works arising during the project.
8. Oversee quality and environmental management on site.
9. Supervise multiple crews across electrical and civil disciplines.
10. Ensure timely, cost-effective project delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Fully qualified electrician with supervisory experience in live substations (33k V or higher).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong organisational ability.
* Fluent English (spoken and written).
