We are currently recruiting a Construction Quality Manager for a large-scale project in Cork. The Construction Quality Manager will oversee the quality of construction for a €240m capital project.
Responsibilities
* Provide regular updates to the Engineering Project Manager and the Site Leadership Team through CAPEX meetings and project reviews.
* Ensure adherence to specifications by vendors and contractors.
* Contribute to daily project business improvements.
* Resolve on-site issues by leveraging experience.
* Manage delivery by EPCMV contractors, contractors, and vendors for various project components including new buildings, tank farm extensions, WWTP extension, and site infrastructure.
* Oversee enabling works and site setup, including contractor compounds.
* Ensure EPCMV quality team compliance with QA/QC plans.
* Conduct regular QC audits of field activities.
* Review ITPs for vendors and contractors to ensure proper execution.
* Prioritize construction quality during contractor mobilization.
* Support CQV activities through quality assurance.
* Review contractor bids focusing on quality systems and personnel.
* Ensure personnel are trained on new technologies introduced during the project.
* Review vendor and contractor handovers.
* Coordinate with validation teams to ensure project compliance.
* Maintain compliance with GMP and safety regulations.
* Act as SME or focal point for quality RFIs and Non-Conformances, procuring expertise as needed.
* Participate in system walkdowns as required.
Qualifications
* Level 8 qualification in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering preferred; Level 6 or 7 with current weld inspection qualifications also acceptable.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in capital project execution, especially projects over €150MM.
* Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical industry design, construction, and validation.
* Experience managing large teams and EPCMV contractors beneficial.
* Proven ability to develop and manage construction quality plans.
* Detailed knowledge of engineering codes.
* Experience developing and executing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
* Skilled in managing workstreams for project system construction and handover.
* Effective communication skills for updating internal and external stakeholders.
