Logistics Operations Specialist
The role involves developing and implementing logistics cost management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Rate Structure Optimization: Develop, improve, and maintain standard operating procedures for rate structure systems across the portfolio.
2. Supplier Quotation Analysis: Analyze supplier quotations and manage price components for transportation services.
3. Agreement Administration: Monitor and administer rate agreements with suppliers, ensuring timely renewal and duration management.
4. Invoice Processing: Manage incoming invoices, validate their structure and data alignment, and ensure accurate charge codes and formatting.
5. Issue Resolution: Investigate invoice mismatches and communicate directly with service providers to resolve issues.
6. Timely Invoice Receipt: Ensure timely invoice receipt each month and coordinate follow-ups with providers.
7. Market-Driven Pricing: Record and process market-driven pricing for transportation services using internal ticketing and IT systems.
8. Analytics Reporting: Build insightful analytics dashboards to track performance metrics like invoice timeliness and currency fluctuations.
9. Onboarding and Training: Lead onboarding sessions and training for new service providers, ensuring a smooth integration into existing workflows.
10. Ad-Hoc Analysis: Carry out ad-hoc quantitative analysis leveraging visual tools and algorithm development.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field, with several years of relevant experience.
* Strong background in freight forwarding and logistics operations, complemented by analytical skills.
* Advantageous: education in accounting with a focus on freight costs and logistics finance.
* Deep understanding of rate structures and daily freight operations to inform settlement processes.
* Experienced in managing master data for rate management using logistics cost tools or similar systems.
* Skilled in Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms is a plus.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written).
* Prior experience with SAP freight invoice approvals and third-party freight auditing is essential.
