The Safety Assurance Coordinator plays a key role within the Generation & Trading (GT) Safety Support team. The role exists to provide effective coordination, assurance, analysis and project management for key health & safety initiatives, systems, and compliance programmes. The successful candidate supports continuous improvement in safety performance by ensuring that assurance activities, contractor management systems, reporting processes and safety governance structures operate effectively and consistently across the Generation & Trading business. Key Responsibilities Produce monthly and quarterly safety assurance analysis, including data trends and benchmarking reports to support proactive safety communications. Act as Contractor Management IT System Owner for Flex Manager ensuring system integrity and effective contractor governance. Act as Synergy Life Coordinator, Support & Manage weekly Synergy Life Incident Review documentation & communications and training. Support the Health & Wellbeing Champions Network and encourage each location to deliver a minimum of three health initiatives annually. Lead the development, rollout, and continuous improvement of the new GT SharePoint Safety Platform, including a digital Lessons Learned repository. Provide safety support to GT Central Functions and GT Trading, with a particular focus on office-based compliance requirements. Represent the GT Support team on GT Safety Working Groups. Experience and Qualifications Essential Internationally accepted safety qualification at professional level (eg NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent) 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience, and 3+ years' experience working in Health and Safety role. Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Experience in reporting & data interpretation. Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint and structured document management. Problem-solving attitude, particularly in system and process issues. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary safety team. Desirable Experience/Knowledge digital platforms.
