Senior Mechanical Estimator required for a leading mechanical and electrical contractor in Dublin.
About Your New Employer Our client is one of Irelands leading Mechanical and Electrical contractors that are working with a a wide range of multinational companies and on a large number of public sector contracts.
They specialise in the installation of mechanical and electrical services on projects such as commercial, healthcare, industrial (food processing and pharma), data centres etc.
They are working in both Ireland and mainland Europe.
They have a role for senior mechanical estimator to price works mainly in Ireland and to provide support to their European operations.
About Your New Job As a Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will be based at the Head Office in Dublin, and client sites in the Dublin area.
Key Responsibilities: Securing and tendering targeted projects.
Negotiating discounts with suppliers and sub-contractors.
Evaluating initial tenders for attractiveness, selectivity, commercial risk, and competition.
Analyzing tender documentation and comprehending requirements.
Accurately quantifying materials, plant, and labour needs.
Establishing and maintaining estimating processes, procedures, systems, and database.
Preparing tender adjudication packs for senior management approval.
Developing labour rates and conducting tender risk analysis.
Offering design solutions and collaborating closely with the procurement manager and supply chain.
Integrating mechanical estimates with electrical estimators and finalizing bids.
Following up on bids and managing them through to contract.
Generating monthly estimating reports and providing value-engineered options.
What Skills You Need Candidates will hold a third level Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar, with a minimum of 5 10 years experience in a similar role.
