We're recruiting an Employee Relations Specialist on a 15-month FTC to join our high performing People team!

You'll work majority of your week away from home.
Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, this role is responsible for providing guidance on employee policies and supporting relationship with employees, people leaders and unions.
What you'll be doing:
Providing expert advice and guidance to people leaders regarding the interpretation of employee policies, employment legislation, to enhance operational effectiveness.
Responding to employee relations requests from people leaders and execute on key tasks in accordance with AXA employee policies and procedures.
Supporting and attending various Union meetings and ensure that all actions agreed are followed up and executed.
Developing and managing investigation plans, reviewing employee policies and identifying training gaps proactively to improve the employee relations experience.
Assisting with the development of performance support plans (PSP), to support colleagues and people leaders.
Providing insights and intelligence with respect to trends and opportunities.
Providing specialist expertise, jurisdictionally appropriate legal advice and interpretation on employment legislation for critical and/or complex cases.
Conducting investigations for employee relations complaints, grievances and ethics notices (e.g., discrimination, harassment, retaliation).
Maintaining good communication and positive relationships with employees to enhance engagement and satisfaction.
Actively monitoring external market on employee relations to drive best practice in AXA.
What you will need:
3+ years' experience in Employee Relations (essential)
CIPD Qualification or Certificate in Employee Relations or Qualification in Employment Law (essential)
Knowledge of Employment Law
Knowledge of third-party employee relations mechanisms and how to navigate them.
Previous experience in managing union relationships within large, complex organisations
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a team-based environment
Good organisational skills
Ability to prioritise workload and deliver on objectives as directed
