Our client based in North Tipperary are currently seeking to recruit for an PQ Accountant / Accounts Manager to join their team on a Hybrid basis Reporting directly to the Managing Director and overseeing a small team you will have the following responsibilities: General Ledger Management: Maintaining entries, reconciliations, and journal postings.
Monthly Management Accounts: Preparing accounts, accruals, prepayments, variance analysis (actual vs target), and KPIs like debtors, creditors, and stock.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Supporting preparation of budgets and forecasts, and assisting with scenario planning-such as capacity or spend adjustments.
Report Validation: Reviewing dashboards, KPI reports, and ensuring report output accuracy.
Team Leadership: Overseeing the daily activities of the accounts assistants Credit Control & AR: Ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong client relationships.
Quote & Pricing Updates: Keeping our pricing records current.
Systems & Process Improvement: Supporting systems implementation and recommending enhancements.
External Liaison: Collaborating with external accountants for year-end statements.
Internal Register Maintenance: Managing fixed asset logs, supplier contracts, rebates, and more.
Skills & Attributes Part-Qualified Accountant, ideally through CIMA, or with similar experience.
Has strong Excel skills, especially with large datasets.
Is comfortable using accounting systems-QuickBooks preferred, but others are welcome.
Is naturally curious, eager to understand how our business operates, and proactive in finding process improvements.
Communicates clearly, works methodically, and partners well across the team.
This is a Hybrid & permanent role with flexibility (FT / 4 days week / Negotiable) which offers ownership of the finance function.
