This is an exciting opportunity to join a global manufacturing services company as an Automation Engineer. The Automation Engineer plays a pivotal role in delivering automation projects from quotation through to product manufacture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the design, procurement, installation, and validation of automated production lines to optimize efficiency and productivity.
2. Manage assigned project budgets and collaborate with customers and contractors to ensure seamless execution.
3. Lead process characterisation and optimisation initiatives using tools like DFMEA's, PFMEA's, DOE's, and MSA's.
4. Conduct systematic technical root cause investigations to identify and resolve complex issues.
5. Spearhead production line ramp-up efforts to achieve mature production targets.
6. Develop and implement innovative production methods and controls to meet quality standards in additive manufacturing processes.
7. Promote continuous improvement projects to drive organisational excellence.
8. Provide technical training and support to enhance team capabilities.
9. Ensure adherence to company safety and quality programs, including GMP compliance and ongoing recording of events and processes.
10. Maintain knowledge of all GMP learnings and apply them effectively.
11. Perform other responsibilities as required by the company and department/position evolution.

16. Lean Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.

18. Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and MS Project.
19. CAD experience is advantageous.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
* 3-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in high-volume automated assembly or medical device manufacturing.
* Ability to travel for equipment buy-offs, training, and other business-related activities.
