Reperio has partnered with a company who are looking for a Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and operations of modern network infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on-premise environments. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical depth, a focus on automation, and a passion for reliable, secure systems.
Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and support network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud networking components.
* Lead and execute lifecycle management, upgrades, incident response, and preventative maintenance.
* Maintain and improve high-availability, secure network environments through automation and observability practices.
* Collaborate with security, operations, and engineering teams on cross-functional initiatives.
* Document standards, configurations, and processes; ensure alignment with best practices.
* Champion infrastructure-as-code principles and drive network automation.
Requirements:
* 2+ years of enterprise network support experience.
* Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and security platforms.
* Strong technical knowledge of Layer 2-7 networking, including BGP, VLAN, VXLAN, DHCP, DNS, and QoS.
* Scripting skills with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar.
* Familiarity with network monitoring and incident response tools.
* Experience with VPNs, wireless networks, and certificate-based security.
* Strong documentation and communication skills.
* Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
* Exposure to Juniper Networks, AWS, or Azure networking.
* Relevant certifications such as PCNSE, JNCIA, JNCIS, or AWS/Azure Networking certifications.
