HR Officer
Location: Glenamaddy, Co. Galwa

Purpose of the Role: To support the HR Manager in delivering a comprehensive, efficient, and compliant HR service. The role focuses on ensuring the smooth execution of HR operations, enhancing the employee experience, and maintaining compliance with employment legislation and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration
Provide full administrative support across all HR functions.
Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practices.
Assist with onboarding processes, including preparation of contracts, induction, and employee documentation.
Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring GDPR compliance at all times.
Support employee relations processes in line with company policies and procedures.
Time & Attendance / Workforce Planning
Maintain and manage the Time Management system.
Monitor absenteeism and support absence management processes.
Oversee holiday tracking and approvals.
Assist with staff rostering in line with operational requirements.
Training & Development
Liaise with external training providers to support employee development initiatives and funding opportunities.
Assist in coordinating internal and external training programs.
Support ongoing learning and development strategies within the organization.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare HR reports and metrics for senior management.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
Support internal audits and inspections as required.
Health, Safety & Communication
Promote and support a safe and compliant working environment.
Communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships.
Confidentiality
Handle all employee information with strict confidentiality and professionalism.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
Previous experience in an HR role.
Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Desirable Qualifications
CIPD qualification, or working towards accreditation.
Experience within manufacturing or food production environments.
Experience using time and attendance systems.
