Celtic Careers are working alongside our client, a growing public‑sector organisation, expanding its IT and Business Applications capability as part of a major digital transformation programme. This programme focuses on modernising core business systems and supporting upcoming regulatory and industry changes through improved data, automation, and digital processes.
As part of this expansion, the organisation is seeking a Business Systems Developer to join an internal team and play a key role in delivering modern business solutions using Microsoft technologies. This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role working closely with internal business teams and external technology partners.

Location: Dublin 22
Working Model: Hybrid

The Role
The Business Applications Developer will act as a key link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating business requirements into effective system solutions. You will work across multiple departments to understand existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and design and build improved solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365. This role combines technical development, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement within a fast‑moving transformation environment.
Key Responsibilities

Work closely with business teams to understand processes and identify improvement opportunities
Gather, analyse, and document business requirements
Design, configure, and develop solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement
Build Canvas and Model‑Driven Apps using Power Apps
Develop workflows and automation using Power Automate
Work with Dataverse (tables, relationships, forms, and views)
Support Dynamics 365 modules such as Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, and Customer Insights
Run workshops with business users to define requirements and validate solutions
Create prototypes, demos, and proof‑of‑concepts
Support testing, deployment, and go‑live activities
Work closely with programme managers, end users, and external delivery partners
Produce technical documentation and system configuration records
Use Azure DevOps to support delivery and tracking of work
Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues
Ensure solutions meet business needs and deliver measurable improvements

Your Skills & Experience

2–5 years’ experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and/or Power Platform
Strong hands‑on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate
Experience with Dataverse and Dynamics 365 CE modules
Experience working in Agile environments
Experience with Microsoft Business Central
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and/or Copilot
Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 certifications
Experience working in consulting or client‑facing delivery roles
Strong business analysis and requirements gathering capability
Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
