Job Overview
Mechanical Project Engineers will play a pivotal role in the design, procurement, installation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment to support ongoing development and improvement within the manufacturing process.
The role involves managing and delivering engineering projects efficiently, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence. This includes designing, evaluating, and implementing mechanical equipment, systems, and processes.
Mechanical Project Engineers must interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure optimal performance and lead root cause analysis to recommend design or process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and deliver engineering projects efficiently, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.
* Design, evaluate, and implement mechanical equipment, systems, and processes.
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure optimal performance.
* Lead root cause analysis and recommend design or process improvements.
* Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance to ensure full compliance with engineering and safety standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and contractors to drive performance and innovation.
* Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project activities.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) is required. Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment is also necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in CAD and MS Office is preferred.
