Sales Representative – Retail Food Packaging (Northwest Region)

Northwest of Ireland (Counties may include Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, and parts of Roscommon.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Sales Representative to join our Retail Food Packaging Division, focused on managing and growing our customer base in the Northwest region of Ireland. This individual will be responsible for developing strong customer relationships, growing sales with existing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities across the retail food sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Account Management:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for existing customers
* Maintain and grow relationships with key retail food packaging clients
* Ensure excellent customer service and follow-up support
* New Business Development
* Identify and prospect new retail food businesses (independents and chains)
* Present Zeus’ range of food packaging solutions tailored to the client’s needs
* Generate and convert leads into long-term customers
* Sales & Strategy Execution
* Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets and KPI's
* Implement regional sales strategies in line with national objectives
* Gather and report on market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer feedback
* Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work with internal teams (customer service, logistics, product development) to ensure customer requirements are met
* Liaise with the marketing team to support local campaigns and product launches
Key Requirements
* Proven field sales experience, ideally in packaging, FMCG, or retail food service
* Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* Track record of building lasting relationships and closing deals
* Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory
* Knowledge of packaging materials (paper, compostable, recyclable plastics, etc.) is an advantage
* Full clean driving license required
