About the Role
As a Senior Technical Analyst, you'll play a key role in maintaining and developing the organisation's IT infrastructure across production, business continuity, and data centre environments. You'll have a particular focus on
network operations, VDI platforms, and Exchange infrastructure
, ensuring systems remain secure, resilient, and high-performing.
You'll act as a technical escalation point for the wider support team, contribute to the planning and delivery of infrastructure projects, and help shape future strategies to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and support core production infrastructure and enterprise systems to meet evolving business needs.
* Oversee the smooth operation of on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
* Serve as a 3rd-line escalation point for complex IT incidents and service requests.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage delivery and performance standards.
* Support and monitor system upgrades, capacity planning, and change management processes.
* Contribute to business continuity, disaster recovery, and data centre management initiatives.
* Ensure adherence to IT governance, security, and compliance requirements.
* Mentor junior colleagues and promote knowledge sharing within the technical team.
* Work closely with development, testing, and project teams to ensure seamless release management.
Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
* Strong experience supporting
Microsoft Windows Server
and
Windows desktop environments
.
* Proficiency in
network administration
, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches, and VLANs.
* Solid knowledge of
Microsoft Exchange administration and upgrades
.
* Expertise in
Citrix desktop and application management
,
VMware
, and
MS Teams administration
.
* Proven ability in
backup strategy, disaster recovery planning
, and
data centre operations
.
* Experience managing both
cloud-based and on-premises
IT infrastructure.
* A flexible and adaptable mindset with a commitment to continuous learning.
Desirable Qualifications
* ITIL certification or similar service management framework.
* Project management credentials (Prince2, PMP, or equivalent).
* Vendor certifications such as
MCSE/MCSA, VCP, CCNA
, or
CompTIA
.
* Experience with
MS SQL

InTune
,
CrowdStrike
,
SCCM/WSUS
, or
ManageEngine
tools.
* Previous experience in a financial services or fund administration environment is an advantage.
